Today, I’m Off Duty
I know you come here every day expecting fiery political analysis, bold opinions, and at least three mentions of the economy. But today? Today I am officially off.
And honestly, even the parliament agrees with me. After yesterday’s marathon session passing the Milli Parklar Kanunu (National Parks Bill), they’ve decided to take today and tomorrow off too. That’s right — the entire Turkish Grand National Assembly looked at their calendar and said, “You know what? We’ve done enough.”
If parliament can take two days off after passing one bill, I can certainly take one day off after writing about all of them.
So no analysis today. No hot takes. No dramatic headlines. Just me, my çay, and the peaceful silence of a country whose politicians are — for once — also doing absolutely nothing.
Enjoy the quiet while it lasts. I know I will.
