Parliament Works Late;
İYİ Party Calls Ankara Rally for June 27
Yesterday parliament worked late, so today is my day off.
In the meantime, one interesting breaking news:
In political news, İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu issued a public rally call during his party’s parliamentary group meeting today, urging citizens to gather at Tandoğan Square in Ankara on Saturday, June 27.
The rally comes in direct response to planned demonstrations in Diyarbakır, Istanbul, Mersin, and Van on June 27–28, which are set to demand freedom for Abdullah Öcalan.
“On Saturday, June 27, 2026, we will be at Tandoğan Square in Ankara,” Dervişoğlu said, adding that he expects all those who care about Turkey’s future to arrive carrying Turkish flags. “We will declare to the entire world that Turkey is not without guardians,” he stated.
Tandoğan Square, a historic public space in the heart of the capital, has long served as a symbolic venue for large-scale nationalist and opposition gatherings.
