I’m a Turkish citizen based in Ankara, with a Master’s degree from the United Kingdom and a long-standing habit of reading far too many newspapers before breakfast.
The idea behind this blog is straightforward: to make Türkiye a little more intelligible to foreign audiences, without requiring a PhD or an unreasonable amount of patience. Each day, I work through Turkish digital media and the national press and distil what’s actually going on into something readable and, I hope, useful.
